Subscription & Purchases Terms
These terms cover all paid purchases on Kromacat: one-time Grid animated theme unlocks and the Pitch premium subscription. Core features (Grid, Feed, and standard themes) are free.
A1. Grid Animated Themes
Animated themes (currently RGB, Plasma, and Inferno) are optional visual upgrades for your Grid. Each theme adds a live glow animation to your Grid's border, navigation bar, and avatar ring. They are available as individual one-time purchases at $1.99 each.
A2. One-Time Purchase — No Subscription
An animated theme purchase is not a subscription. There is no auto-renewal, no recurring charge, and no cancellation required. Once purchased, the theme is permanently unlocked for your account.
- Payment is charged once at the time of purchase.
- The unlock persists for the lifetime of your Kromacat account.
- If your account is deleted, theme unlocks are forfeited and are not refundable on that basis.
- Future animated themes, if released, are priced and purchased separately.
A3. Refunds — Animated Themes

To request a refund, email billing@kromacat.com with your account email and order reference. We aim to process eligible refunds within 10 business days.
A4. EU Cooling-Off Right — Digital Goods
If you are located in the European Union, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the purchase of an animated theme under the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.
1. What Is Pitch?
Pitch is Kromacat's premium product — a professional portfolio site builder with AI-assisted content, custom domain support, and project showcase features. It is available as a monthly or annual subscription.

Current prices are shown at checkout and on the Pitch page. Prices are quoted exclusive of VAT. Applicable VAT or sales tax is shown at checkout based on your location.
3. Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will receive an email reminder 7 days before each annual renewal.
By subscribing, you explicitly authorise Kromacat to charge the saved payment method at each renewal date.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your Pitch subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- No partial refund is issued for unused time (unless covered by the cooling-off right below).
- Your Pitch sites and content are retained for 90 days after cancellation in case you re-subscribe.
- After 90 days, Pitch-specific data is deleted. Grid and Feed remain active and unaffected.
5. EU 14-Day Cooling-Off Right
If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from the subscription contract within 14 days of the initial purchase date without giving a reason (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU).
To exercise this right, email billing@kromacat.com with your account email and order reference. We will issue a full refund within 14 days of receiving your request.
6. Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails:
- We will retry the payment 3 times over 7 days.
- You will receive an email notification after each failed attempt.
- If all retries fail, your Pitch subscription is downgraded to free-tier access.
- Pitch-specific features (custom domain, AI tools, portfolio sites) are disabled but data is preserved for 30 days.
- Updating your payment method reactivates the subscription immediately.
7. Refund Policy — Pitch Subscription

8. Tax & Invoicing
Kromacat issues VAT-compliant invoices for all paid transactions. Your invoice is available in your account settings after each charge.
- EU customers: VAT charged at the rate applicable in your country (EU VAT OSS scheme)
- UK customers: UK VAT charged at 20%
- US customers: Sales tax applied where required by state law
- Business customers (EU): Provide your VAT number at checkout for reverse charge
9. Price Changes
We will notify you of any price changes by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not cancel before the effective date, the new price applies at the next renewal. You may cancel at any time before then at no charge.
